Originally from the great state of Texas, MaHallya Vaughan Ramirez has been working in the hospitality industry for the past 15 years. MaHallya has a BA in Biochemistry & Mathematics from Duquesne University and a Certificate in Business & Entrepreneurship from Cornell. She has worked from the bottom up to truly learn the ins and outs of the restaurant industry, the bartending & catering world, and event planning. EBM has planned various types of events ranging from from 35 people to 1,000 guests, corporate meetings, conferences, cocktail parties, bar mitzvahs, to million dollar weddings - we really have done it all! She has a keen eye for detail throughout the entire process of planning an event.  EBM specializes in logistics, communication, and creativity.

Experience

For MaHallya, planning events has always been about more than timelines and checklists — it’s about creating moments that people carry with them forever. Her journey began in hospitality, where she discovered a love for service and the art of bringing people together. Over the years, that passion has taken her from orchestrating elegant gatherings at Pittsburgh’s Duquesne Club to managing community celebrations and coordinating large-scale projects for federal clients like NASA and the Office of Head Start. She’s also led as a General Manager in the DC restaurant scene.

Along the way, MaHallya has mastered the skills that keep events running seamlessly — from managing budgets and leading staff to producing polished marketing materials that elevate each experience. Today, she blends all of that expertise with a calm, detailed approach that makes every couple feel supported and every celebration shine. EBM is the result of her dedication and passion for event planning.
